Welcome boxes for out-of-town guests
Submitted by Dari, New York
Items used from Jean M:
thank you notes
do-it-yourself gift boxes
cellophane bags
merlot and espresso grosgrain ribbon
We live in New York, but we got married in South Dakota where I grew up. So we had lots of guests traveling long distances to come to our wedding, and we wanted to make them feel welcome when they got to their hotel rooms and show our appreciation that they made the big trip. We made up boxes filled with snacks, a welcome note and a map of the city with a weekend itinerary and set them in their hotel rooms. Our guests loved them!
Cupcake tower
Submitted by Analia C., California
Items used from Jean M:
blank cake boxes
personalized stickers
periwinkle napkins
We weren't in to the traditional big wedding cake, so we came up with the idea of a cupcake tower! We put cupcakes in cake boxes and stacked them into pyramids for our guests to either eat after the meal or take with them. It saved us a lot of money and the hassle of having a cake cut and served.
"Marrytini" napkins
Submitted by Julia, Florida
Items used from Jean M:
specialty designer napkins in pink
For our cocktail hour, we came up with a signature drink called a “Marrytini” that would be unique to our wedding. We had the drink recipe printed on beverage napkins. Guests were impressed at the classy touch and told us they took the recipe home to try making themselves!
