Weddings are all about traditions! Many have been beloved by brides for generations, but there are some new trends that are quickly becoming popular with modern brides. Here are a few ideas for adding new twists to the traditional elements of your wedding.

Tradition — Tossing rice over the newlyweds as they exit the ceremony

New Take — Creative ideas guests will enjoy AND that will add beauty to the moment, like: blowing bubbles from pretty little bottles that coordinate with your wedding; waving pretty ribbon wands for a romantic send-off; waving sparklers to light up the event; tossing biodegradable rice puffs over the couple for a new take on tradition that keeps the environment in mind
Tradition — Lighting a unity candle to symbolize two becoming one

New Take — Illustrating the blending of your lives by combining two colors of sand, cut glass or colored wax into a container during your ceremony .
Tradition — Wrapping candies in netting for wedding favors

New Take — Giving unique items to guests as favors to show your passions and personalities, like heart lollipops, “Lovesavers” mints in personalized wrappers, “The Perfect Blend” coffee favors, “Truly Cut Out For Each Other” cookie cutter favors or gifts to charities

Tradition — Serving a multi-tiered wedding cake for dessert

New Take — Hosting a dessert bar with assorted sweets for guests to choose from; serving an ice cream buffet so guests can build their own sundaes; offering a bar for after-dinner gourmet coffees and signature drinks
Tradition — Guests clinking glasses to prompt the newlyweds to kiss at dinner

New Take — Spread the romance by drawing guests’ names from a bowl; when you kiss, the couples’ names you draw kiss, too!
