1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. CONEST VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. ALL FEDERAL, PROVINCIAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY.

2. Eligibility. To be eligible for this Contest, you must:
  • Be a legal resident of Canada (excluding Quebec);
  • Be of the age of majority in your providence of residence or older at the time of entry;
  • Have internet access or an address in your providence of residence; and
  • Have a wedding date between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008.

Employees of Sunset Ltd. ("Sponsor"), its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies, judges of the Contest and the household members or immediate family of any of the above (regardless of where they live), are not eligible to participate in the Contest. In these Contest Rules, "immediate family" means husband, wife, spouse, mother, father, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters;

Sponsor shall have the right at any time to require proof of residency, age, identity and/or eligibility to participate in the Contest. Failure to provide such proof within a reasonable period of time may result in disqualification. All personal and other information requested by and supplied to Sponsor for the purpose of this Contest must be truthful, complete, accurate and in no way misleading. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry or participant in its sole discretion, should any entry or participant at any stage supply untruthful, incomplete, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information. Sponsor also reserves the right to disqualify any participant for any reason, including, but not limited to, violation of these Contest Rules.

3. Contest Period. The Contest will commence at 12:00 a.m. Central Standard Time ("C.S.T.") on January 2, 2007 and closes on at 12:00 p.m. C.S.T. on February 28, 2007 (the "Contest Period"). The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry in this Contest will be the Sponsor's computer server(s).

4. How to Enter. There are two (2) ways to enter this contest: 1) enter online by going to the Jean M Website and fill out the online entry form at www.myjeanm.com (the "Contest Website") and answer a series of questions presented on the website, submit a picture of the couple, read the Contest Rules and click on the box acknowledging that the participant has read and agrees to abide by the Contest Rules and click "Submit"; or ii) enter by mail by writing to Jean M, Attn: Jean M Bride Search 2007, 215 Watt Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 1S4 to obtain a copy of the Contest Rules and entry forms. Complete the entry form, send a picture of the couple and compose your personal essay describing your dream wedding and mail your completed entry to Jean M, Attn: Jean M Bride Search 2007, 215 Watt Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 1S4 ("Eligible Entries").

Limit of one (1) entry per person. Entries received online shall be deemed to be submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the entry. For the purpose of these Contest Rules, "authorized account holder" of an email address is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Participants may be required to provide Sponsor with proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the entry.

All entries become the sole property of the Sponsor and none will be returned for any reason. All entries must be received no later than the end of the Contest Period. Entries will be declared invalid if they are late, illegible, incomplete, damaged, irregular, mutilated, forged, garbled or mechanically or electronically reproduced.

Sponsor is not responsible for telecommunications, network, electronic, technical or computer failures of any kind to entry forms. Sponsor is not responsible for any lost or misdirected mail sent by participant or Sponsor.

By entering this contest, each participant warrants that he or she has read and agrees to abide by all contest rules and that he or she is not prohibited from participating in the Contest. Participating in the contest constitutes participant's full and unconditional acceptance of these Contest Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, its parent, affiliates, employees and agents, which are final, binding and non-negotiable in all respects.

5. Prize. There will be one (1) Grand Prize awarded ("Winner"). The Winner will receive a prize valued at four thousand U.S. Dollars ($4,000) worth of wedding services and products as determined by Jean M in its sole discretion. The products and services may include such things as invitations, wedding accessories, wedding programs, etc. In addition, if necessary, Sponsor will arrange travel arrangements to the Sponsor's Corporate Headquarters to finalize the prize and for the consultation services. Travel, hotel stay and meals while in North Mankato, Minnesota will be arranged by Sponsor. The prize must be redeemed no later than the date of the wedding. Any money not used prior to the date of the wedding will be forfeited by the winner. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute any prizes. All prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, assigned, substituted or redeemed for cash. Sponsor reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the described prize cannot be awarded for any reason.

6. Winners Selection. Winners shall be selected as follows:
  • On or about April 15, 2007 the Grand Prize Winner will be selected by a panel of judges selected solely by the Sponsor from all Eligible Entries. The criteria that the judges will use to determine the Winner will include, but is not limited to, (1) Uniqueness of the participant's wedding details, including the location, the decorations, the ceremony, etc. – 28%; (2) Creativity of the wedding proposal – 28%; (3) Photogenic qualities of the bride and groom's entry photo – 16%; and (4) a bride that fits the definition of a "Jean M Bride" – 28%. A "Jean M Bride" is defined as a bride who wants and plans her wedding to be a creative and unique expression of who she is. In addition, and in order to win, a Winner will be required to answer correctly, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question (the "Math Test") provided by the Sponsor to the Winner during a pre-arranged telephone call, and to comply with all Contest Rules. After the first winner is selected, an alternate entry will be selected and placed in a sealed envelope. The sealed envelope will be held by Sponsor, to be opened only in the event that the first winner selected, or any subsequent alternate, is discovered to be invalid for any reason whatsoever (including the failure to respond correctly to the Math Test), or if the person who submitted the winning entry does not contact Sponsor within the time frame specified in these Contest Rules. If such an event should occur, the person who submitted the alternate entry, or any subsequent alternate, will become the winner, subject to the same rules and conditions set forth herein. All results of the contest are final and binding. The judges' determination is final and conclusive on all parties. No more than the advertised number of prizes will be awarded. The odds of being selected as the Winner are dependent upon the number of Eligible Entries received. The Winner will be required to answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question during a pre-arranged telephone call, and to comply with all Contest Rules

    The Prize is not transferable or convertible to cash and must be accepted exactly as awarded. The Winner has the sole responsibility of paying any taxes connected to the prize, if any.

  • The Winner will be notified by first class mail, email and /or telephone on or around May 1, 2007. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, stolen, late or misdirected mail. If unable to make contact with the winner within ten (10) days after Sponsor's first attempts to notify the winner, or if the winner fails to claim the prize in accordance with these Contest Rules within ten (10) days after the initial attempt by Sponsor, Sponsor will award the prize to the alternate winner as described in these Contest Rules. c. The Winner will be required to execute a legal agreement and release ("Release") that confirms the Winner's: (i) eligibility for the Contest and compliance with these Contest Rules; (ii) acceptance of the Grand Prize as offered; (iii) release of the Sponsor and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, directors, officers, suppliers, and agents from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense arising out of participation in this Contest, participation in any Contest related activity or the acceptance, use or misuse of the Grand Prize including without limitation, costs, injuries, losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction or property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising therefrom; and (iv) grant to Sponsor the unrestricted right to publish without any further compensation the name, picture, portrait, likeness, audio-video recording, interview, voice and ideas and any web site dissemination or broadcast thereof of the Winner for advertising and promotional purposes.

7. To Claim the Prize. Attempts to notify the Winner will be made by first class mail, email and/or telephone on or around May 1, 2007. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, stolen, late or misdirected mail. If unable to make contact with the Winner within ten (10) days after Sponsor's first attempts to notify the Winner, or if the Winner fails to claim the prize in accordance with these Official Rules within ten (10) days after the initial attempt by Sponsor to notify the Winner, Sponsor will award the prize to the alternate Winner. The prize winner is responsible for any and all income, sales or excise taxes that may apply, and Sponsor shall not be liable for any such expenses.

8. Indemnification by Entrants. By entering the Contest, participants agree to (a) release and holds harmless Sponsor and its directors, officers, employees, parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, sponsors and agents from any and all liability for any injury, death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuses of the Prize, participation in this Contest, any breach of these Contest Rules, or in any prize-related activity; and (b) agrees to fully indemnify Sponsors and its directors, officers, employees, parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, sponsors and agents from any and all claims by third parties relating to the Contest, without limitation.

9. Conduct. By entering this Contest, participant agrees to be bound by these Contest Rules, which will be posted at the Contest Website throughout the Contest Term. Participants further agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsors reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant it finds to be:
  • Violating the Contest Rules;
  • Tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or the Contest Website; and
  • Acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO IMMEDIATELY TERMINATE ANY RELEVANT E-MAIL OR INTERNET ACCOUNT, AND SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

10. Limitation of Liability. Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Contest Website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems, failures or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, providers, computer equipment, software, e-mail, players, or browsers, on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, at any website, or on account of any combination of the foregoing. Sponsor is not responsible for any injury or damage to entries or to any computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading materials in this Contest. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, amend or suspend the Contest or these Contest Rules at any time without prior notice. Winner assumes liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participating in the contest, or by the acceptance, possession, use of, or failure to receive any prize.

11. Release/Privacy/Use of Applicant Information: By entering this Contest, participant agrees to:
  • Use of participant's personal information by the Sponsor for the purposes of administering the Contest and awarding prizes;
  • Execute a Release as described in these Contest Rules; and
  • The use by Sponsor of the participant's personal and other information, in a manner consistent with the Sunset Ltd. Privacy Policy at Invitingstyles.ca.
12. Winners List. The names of the Winner and their respective city or residence will be posted on the Contest Website.

13. Intellectual Property. All intellectual property and all of the promotional materials, web pages and source code are owned by Sunset Ltd., its subsidiaries and/or its affiliates. All rights are reserved. Copying or unauthorized use of any copyrighted material or trademarks without the express written consent or its owner is strictly prohibited.

14. Laws. These are the official Contest Rules. This Contest is subject to federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. These Contest rules are subject to change without notification in order to comply with an applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over the Sponsor.

15. Termination. Subject to the jurisdiction of the Régie des alcohols, des courses et des jueux in Quebec, Sponsors reserve the right to amend or terminate all or any portion of this Contest at any time for any reason without prior notice.

16. For Residents of Quebec: Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcohols, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
