Why we chose Denise
Denise told us that she loves finding new ways to display and create things to make them extra-ordinary, and that she can't wait to use Jean M products to make her wedding an original. That's when we knew she was a Jean M bride! Denise wants her wedding to her fiancé, Phil, to be fun, unique and non-traditional. The event will center around a relaxed atmosphere filled with good food, good music and great family and friends.

Denise's proposal story
"I had an idea Phil was looking for a ring because he made elaborate plans to go shopping at the mall where we had been recently looking at rings. He told me he had to buy a birthday gift for his sister-in-law, and he kept phoning me and saying he couldn't find a gift. He then phoned me and told me that his buddy, who lives almost an hour away, was coming to the mall and they were going to hang out. I had to wonder why two grown men would want to hang out at the mall. A couple of nights later, Phil came home, got down on one knee, which he has done in the past, and started talking about us. I couldn't tell you what he said, as I was teasing him that he was repeating himself and he should really write something down when he actually does propose. He got up and got the ring from his jacket, opened it and I started crying. I kept gazing at the gorgeous ring and crying — when Phil reminded me that I hadn't answered yet. And of course, I said YES!"

Denise's wedding
Denise and Phil will celebrate an autumn wedding with all the trimmings, from the fall leaf centerpieces to the orange, red and yellow color scheme. Denise will make it unique by wearing the dress of her dreams — a deep red gown — and outfitting her bridesmaids in chocolate brown. With a nod to Phil's Chinese heritage, the couple will participate in a traditional tea ceremony during the reception. They will also rely on family and friends for special, unique touches like homemade caramel apples and homemade, leaf-shaped butter cookies for favors.
